Make a Difference in Your Local Woodland

Longwood Community Woodland is cared for by and for the community. From maintaining trails to planting trees, everything we do depends on the support of volunteers. By giving your time, you’ll be helping to protect 325 acres of woodland, wildlife, and habitats — and making sure this special place is here for future generations to enjoy.

Why Volunteer?

  • Care for Nature – help us manage habitats, restore paths, and protect biodiversity.

  • Be Part of the Community – join a friendly team of people who share a love for the outdoors.

  • Learn New Skills – from woodland management to conservation practices, there’s always something new to discover.

  • Make a Real Impact – every hour volunteered supports Longwood’s future as a community-owned woodland.

What can you do?

There’s a role for everyone at Longwood. You might:

  • Help with woodland maintenance, tree planting, or habitat projects

  • Support community events and activities

  • Share your skills in education, fundraising, or admin

  • Simply lend a hand where it’s needed most

Whether you can give a few hours a month or a regular weekly slot, your contribution makes a huge difference.
