Muddy Buddies Mission
“Is to provide a safe and stimulating environment that allows children to learn through play and exploration. A setting that is holistic, values all children as individuals and hopes to bring families together to form lifelong friendships”
These activities will be a mixture of teacher led learning and free flow exploration. Activities will be varied week to week to keep children’s interests and will include themes inline with the National Curriculum. All activities will be set out to improve either, Literacy, Numeracy, Science or History. Activities will include storytelling, arts and crafts, working with clay, working with wood, scavenger hunts and music.
Every child should be given the benefit of working outside within nature. This provides proven benefits to their mental health and well-being. Also, it is vital for their personal development, which helps with their creativity and problem-solving and profoundly improves their intellectual development. As noted below in the area about what Muddy Buddies’ work can improve, it will also help their physical fitness, agility, and stamina.

What we can offer you
Pre School (Parent stay & play)
These sessions are aimed at children aged 0-4. Designed to help develop the essential skills children need to be successful learners and prepare them for school. These include:
- Hand eye coordination
- Strength and dexterity in their fingers
- Their senses
- Early literacy and numeracy
- Building friendships and social skills
- Building self-esteem
- Co-ordination
- Confidence in new surrounds
School groups
These sessions are open to small groups, class groups or whole school trips (please enquire for pricing regarding different group sizes). Sessions can be tailored around a Topic of your choice but may include:
- Pond dipping
- Mini beasts
- The Seasons
- Woodland animals and their habitats
- Life-cycles
- Conservation
- Mental health awareness and wellbeing
- Sensory sessions for children with Additional Leaning Needs
Family session
These sessions are aimed at the whole family. The purpose of these sessions is to allow you to spend time in nature together. Each session will be based around a different theme and provide activities for the whole family to enjoy.

School Groups
We welcome large school groups for educational sessions. We can work with your academic curriculum program and more, offering various activities to help you accomplish your teaching objectives.
Due to the nature of the school bookings, we need further information to tailor your needs.

Muddy Buddies stay and play
Parents stay and play. These groups encourage play-based learning to help improve socialisation, cognitive and emotional development, which includes parent-child bonding. This also gives both parent and child the opportunity to meet new friends in a messy, non restricted and safe environment.
