Longwood welcomes horses
Our woods are inclusive for horses and their riders. We have multiple paths that you can explore. In total about 10miles.
There is a bridle path that you can start from either the Visitor centre to the first gate is 2.5miles. Then through Olwen woods from gate 1mile. Route approx 4miles. This takes you out towards Lampeter.
There are other small pathways that are suitable for horses but a lot smaller, all paths run back onto the main bridle path.
- Long windy route, with bridle gate access
- 100 meter wide in parts, hanging branches on some parts
- Nice path's, through mixed habitat
What we offer
Bridle pathway route
Perfect bridle path through route from Lampeter to the visitor centre, you can then access the road that takes you to Llanfair.
- Easy track to navigate
- Public access for dog walkers aswell
- Surface is safe for horses

There are 6 open pathways open to riders and general public.

Longwood fun ride
This was the last riding event that was organised Sunday 29th June. 40 riders entered. The event was organised by Ceredigion Bridleways Group. The route we used was as shown here on the map. The route covered 13.98 km, total ascent was 296m descent 314 m
